Names and titles can make or break a story: Frodo, Paksennarion, Gideon the Ninth, The Hobbit, Parable of the Sower. How do you come up with a title that intrigues a reader and gives them a new understanding by the end of the story? How long is too long for a title – and can one be too short? What if the title you want is already taken? In this mixture of lecture, discussion, and writing exercises, you will become adept at titling and come away knowing how to name your characters and write titles.
