Overview

Sometimes “show, don’t tell” is bad advice, because it’s a point where you do need exposition. Often exposition offers context and helps the reader understand the story, character motivations, and the story world. How do you know when to show versus when to tell, and how does the show/tell ratio affect the flow of time in the story? Learn tips and tricks for working with exposition.

Free scholarships: If you cannot afford a class but really want to take one, apply for a Plunkett Scholarship. Each class has three slots reserved for such students, and the sole criteria is only that you can’t currently afford the class.
